MY HTML PAGE

Welcome to My HTML Page. I started learning HTML on my own,( I firmly believe that is the best way of learning anything ) & as I have learnt more about it , I just thought I could help you people with some sites & references that helped me. So here goes ...

GETTING STARTED

Learning about HTMl will give you an understanding of how Web Pages work & look in use, which will prove invaluable to your Web-browsing experience.

You can learn about HTML in many ways without specifically studying it. Probably you are already staring at the most important method when you are browsing various Web Pages. All these pages are built from the same text-based HTML language. So , if you are viewing a page that strikes your interest , just stop & take a look at the underlying code.

For doing this , Choose View ---> Source to view the code in Notepad. You can also save this work to your hard disk for later reference.
You can also save the current page as a HTML document to your hard disk by File ---> Save As. If you want to learn more about encoding pages, you can find countless books & even more web-sites( not as good as this one, of course, just kidding!! ) devoted to this.

Here is a list of some sites where you can find Help on HTML :
CNET's Builder
Web Design Workgroup

SKIPPING the PROGRAMMING

With the proliferation of elegent HTML Editors such as FrontPage Express & Dreamweaver, it is unlikely that a text-editor will be your first tool of choice for creating Web Pages. Unless you really want to take off in the art of Web Page-authoring, you will probably never have to become an HTML-Wiz. So, that way you you will forego the pleasure of wrangling your way through maddening screenfuls of angle-brackets, slashes, & esoteric codes.
